A degree in Philosophy can lead to careers in research, politics, social work, teaching, journalism, human resources, law, counselling, and more.

General information
A joint department whose members are drawn from the departments of Philosophy of the University of Sudbury and Laurentian University is responsible for the teaching of Philosophy. The department offers programs of study in different areas of the subject (i.e. history of philosophy, social philosophy, ethics, etc.). Students are advised to consult the department chair or members of faculty to obtain help in their program or course selection. Department of Philosophy offices are located at Laurentian University and at the University of Sudbury (both on the Laurentian campus).
