Lucien Matte Residence
STUDENT LIFE IN RESIDENCE
Lucien Matte Residence is home to 178 men and women in 92 single and 41 double bedrooms. The Residence is a place to live, to study, to relax. It provides the opportunity for privacy as well as the opportunity to develop lasting friendships.
Small sections of 12 to 14 students provide for a "home away from home" atmosphere. The common rooms on the ground floor help keep the room sections quieter. Each room is equipped with cable T.V. service (no fee), an outlet for the Internet (no fee) at each desk and also one for the telephone.
Life in residence is guided by a Residence Management Team and a Council of Dons comprising twelve students who have lived in residence for at least one year.
The Lucien Matte Residence provides opportunities to participate creatively in competitions, in public speaking and debating, in creative writing, in arts and crafts, in sports, and other activities.
